Easter Events at MVA Church of Christ

Spring 2010

The Mt. Vernon Avenue Church of Christ offers a variety of activities as Easter approaches.
They will begin on Thursday, April 1^st, with a Communion Service at 7:00 p.m. 
Several musical specials will be presented and the preparation for Communion will focus on Jesus’ sacrifice for us.

Beginning on Friday, April 2^nd, the Live Tomb Scene will be in place in front of the church.
This scene is attended by “soldiers” of the congregation from 6:00 p.m. on Friday through 6:00 a.m. on Sunday morning, when the stone will be rolled away to show an empty tomb.

Resurrection Sunday begins with a Sunrise Service at 7:30 a.m. on April 4^th, followed by a breakfast served in the church fellowship hall at 8:00.

After breakfast the 10:00 a.m. Worship Service will feature the Adult Choir presenting the Easter Cantata,
“See What A Morning!” arranged by Camp Kirkland.
Communion will be served during the Cantata. 
Minister Phil Williams will present a short devotional message, “No Fear” based on John 20:19-20 after the choir sings.
