Easter Events at MVA Church of Christ

Spring 2010

The Mt. Vernon Avenue Church of Christ offers a variety of activities as Easter approaches.
They will begin on Thursday, April 1
st, with a Communion Service at 7:00 p.m.
Several musical specials will be presented and the preparation for Communion will focus on Jesus’ sacrifice for us.

Beginning on Friday, April 2nd, the Live Tomb Scene will be in place in front of the church.
This scene is attended by “soldiers” of the congregation from 6:00 p.m. on Friday through 6:00 a.m. on Sunday morning, when the stone will be rolled away to show an empty tomb.

Resurrection Sunday begins with a Sunrise Service at 7:30 a.m. on April 4th, followed by a breakfast served in the church fellowship hall at 8:00.

After breakfast the 10:00 a.m. Worship Service will feature the Adult Choir presenting the Easter Cantata,
“See What A Morning!” arranged by Camp Kirkland.
Communion will be served during the Cantata.
Minister Phil Williams will present a short devotional message, “No Fear” based on John 20:19-20 after the choir sings.

Visitors are warmly welcomed.  The church is located at 947 Mt. Vernon Ave., Marion, Ohio.
